The Center for United Nations Constitutional Research welcomes scholarly contributions on topical issues relating to international law, international relations, and international organizations, especially in relation to the United Nations and the subject of global governance. Articles dealing with the following vital areas are particularly welcome: peace and security, climate change, nuclear disarmament, human rights, refugees and victims of conflicts, international crimes, and the global economy and poverty – with the focus being on the empowerment of global citizens in a political and economic environment of constitutionalized global democracy and governance.
As well as submissions of an analytical and critical nature, policy recommendations are also sought. A submission may have been previously published as long as it remains topical and relevant. Typically, a submission should fall into one of the following categories:
Submission Requirement and Procedures
Your intellectual contribution must be submitted via email to: firstname.lastname@example.org. The following three separate documents should be attached to your email:
1. A cover letter containing:
2. The main manuscript/article, submitted as a Word file, with no information to identify the author (to keep the anonymity of the author while the review board checks the quality of the submission).
3. A maximum 150-word CV for each author.
Style and Standards
The length requirement for contributions depends on which of the above-mentioned categories the piece in question falls into. The use of either footnotes or endnotes is acceptable, and, for longer manuscripts, any of the scholarly house-styles, such as that set out in The Chicago Manual of Style, may be adopted.
Please note that although the submission of non-English articles and manuscripts is encouraged, such articles must always be accompanied by an English abstract of 150 to 1,000 words.
